Serious cyclists and weekend warriors can enhance training rides by incorporating cycle computers with cadence. Cadence sensors measure your average RPMs or pedal cranks per minute to determine your overall ride efficiency. Fortunately, entry-level models from well-respected brands, such as Bontrager and Raleigh, are available in the £15-20 price range. Riders can easily purchase wired cycle computers with cadence and dozens of functions for under £40. The mid-range CatEye Strada and the comparable Bontrager Trip 3 include cadence, trip distance, speed, elapsed time and temperature among their eleven standard features.

Specialized tech-brands, including CatEye, CicloSport, Garmin, VETTA and SIGMA manufacture a full range of cycle computers with cadence available at a number of price points. Notable equipment and cycle manufacturers, including Raleigh, Planet Bike and Mavic, also offer specially designed cycle computers with cadence. Entry level cycle computers with cadence and basic wired or wireless features are ideal for those who would like to try the technology without major expenses. High-end cycle computers with cadence are ideal for with advanced riders who want to experiment with competitive analytics, a broad range of advanced features and training tools to improve strength, endurance and speed.
